I absolutely looooooooooooove my creation for today's post! I was inspired by a canvas that Travis and I bought while on a cruise. The acrylic paint on the canvas is smeared, layered, has dimension, and makes an image without there being an image! LOVE
I used some Creative Medium and Memento Luxe inkers to create my card, as well as the Black Pico Embellisher! LOVE x100000000!

Paper Smooches SPARKS: May Designer Drafts challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:
**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.

Ok.... so.... I went a bit abstract for this sketch.... that's typical for me:) Here's how I followed the sketch:

  • I used the tan background as my cardbase.
  • The green piece was created using "watercolors".
  • The orange strip became a sentiment.
  • The half circle was made into another sentiment and die cut.
I looooooove that watercoloring- I used Tsukineko Radiant Neon Electric Orange and Coral inks for this design!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I also love the washed out edges... that was made by spraying Ink Potion No. 9 on my watercolor design. This is probably my fav watercoloring ever!
I cut up a sentiment from the Paper Smooches Happy Birthday set and stamped another one from the Chit Chat set. Then I die cut the Smooches Birthday Words sentiment using Chickaniddy Crafts Silver Surfer foil paper! LOOOOOOVE
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs, get inspired, and leave them some love***This is actually the last PSS challenge for these gals. I'm so thankful that I was able to work with them-- it has been a blast! I love each of their styles and designs-- I've been blown away with each of their creations!! Chickaniddy Crafts- Sketch "change it"

Hello, friends:)
 photo picasioncom_8146e2e38e727ecc241fe5a27ac0c266.gif

I'm joining in the fun with the Chickaniddy sketch challenge.

If you follow me-- then you know that my favorite thing to do for "sketch challenges" is to CHANGE IT! And that's what I've done for my card today. I think I followed the sketch about 50%!! Here's a photo of how I changed the sketch.

I also mixed and matched the Chickaniddy Date Night and Twirly Girly collections.
Chickaniddy Supplies: This and That (TG14OS07), Plaid is Rad (DN14OS12), Cutest Couple (DN14OS05); Stamps Date Night (DN14ST01); Stickers Date Night (DN14EB05, DN14EB03, DN14EB02), Twirly Girl (TG14EB05); Brads Date Night (DN14EB06); Tsukineko VersaMark ink; Imagine Crafts Silver embossing powder; Paper Smooches Toppers dies

I really love this card! And I LOVE that silver embossing as the "stamp" on the postcard paper! I also love all the stickers and embellishments with the stitched banners! LOVE x10000! I hope Trav doesn't look at this post-- this card is for HIM:)
I hope that you will try and change the May Chickaniddy sketch for your next creation!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:)

Gallery Idol- Take #3

Hello, friends:)

I'm back with my last entry for the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine 2014 Gallery Idol challenge!

The challenge: washi tape
My take on this challenge: I created some washi tape feathers. I absolutely LOOOOOOOVE them! I love that polka dot one with the neon teal strip! SOOOOO fun!
I checked the gallery to make sure no one else had made feathers... and when I created my card, no one had! But I just checked again... and RATS! Someone had!!! Great minds think alike:)
Ink: Tsukineko VersaMark; Embossing Powder: Imagine Crafts black
I used the Paper Smooches Hello Words die for the sentiment (later I stitched it on the card), and then I used the PS Calorie Free set for word "friend" (which was stamped/embossed on the washi tape). LOOOOOOVE! This is also a great card for the Paper Smooches SPARKS Anything Goes challenge:)

That's it for me today! I hope you have a blessed week! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
