Reverse Confetti and a challenge

Hello, friends:}

I had some more time this week to get creative with my Reverse Confetti's stamps and decided to play along with  Wanna Sketch #8 sketch challenge over on my friend Lisa's blog.

I am not sure I followed the sketch well... it seems kind of CAS to me....and I did kind of a CAS card (it took less than 30 minutes to create and is fairly simple)... I did move the two hearts together for one large image.... and I did change the sketch by adding chevrons near the bottom and on top of the sentiment.... YUP! I did just what "Typical Savannah" does-- changes the sketch:) LOL! I also went with a more masculine card, which you wouldn't think the sentiment from the RC stamp set would be masculine (since it's cursive).... but I love how it turned out!

I used two of my FAV Reverse Confetti sets for this card: Arrows 'n Elements and I Like You. The papers are from Becky Higgins' Project Life Midnight Edition. LOOOOOOVE how this turned out.  You might wonder who I'm going to give this card to.... LOL! ***Trav- if you are reading this post, you NEVER saw the card! Act surprised if I give it to you:)
That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the Reverse Confetti blog for more inspiration! And be sure to follow us on Facebook HERE. **Also, be sure to check out the RC blog for NEW blog segments!! You will be inspired by the RC DT as we answer questions, show pictures of our studio, and talk about a creation we made!!!

Paper Smooches SPARKS August Picture Perfect challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The fourth week of the month is always a Picture Perfect challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

So.... this photo has LOTS of inspiration for me.... the colors.. the design of frames inside of frames (which are PERFECT with the PS Scalloped Frame dies)... but I went with a chic/modern card focusing on using just two frames and one PS stamp set. TOTALLY NOT ME! I know!

My inspiration of course were the frames, and I used two random frames that I found in my studio closet (a chipboard one from Tattered Angels and the other is from Teresa Collins- I think! LOL!). This card is super simple using just patterned paper by Hambly Screen Prints (that I've hoarded for about three years), some vellum lace by Hambly as well, and a sentiment from the Paper Smooches Slang Gang stamp set. I think this card could be for just about any occasion- birthday, anniversary or wedding day, graduation, etc! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I love the black and white/cream with the touch of yellow and aqua-- kind of went in a different direction than the inspiration photo! LOL!
I went simple because Trav told me this card didn't need anything else... I was thinking maybe a birdie over the sentiment or some splatters... maybe another stamp? Thoughts?
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends September 1st. I cannot wait to see what you make--I actually can't wait to see what you are inspired by in this photo!!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Ribbon Carousel #84 and Reverse Confetti {post1a}

Hello, friends:}

**After 9am--please click HERE or scroll up/down for my Mama Elephant highlight post.
Have you played along with this month's Ribbon Carousel challenge yet??? The RCC is now doing monthly challenges with a huge prize at the end for one lucky player!!! The prize::: a ribbon carousel!!!!!! This month's theme/challenge--- Summertime Fun

It is def. summer here-- we are in the high 90s and 100+ degrees! That kind of sucks for me because I have a random rash called Pityriasis Rosea (doctors don't know what is caused by and there isn't a real treatment for it... it will last for about 6-8 weeks. I'm praying it goes away after 2!), and this rash is irritated by heat! So I am staying indoors as of late!

But that doesn't mean I can't join in the fun with the RCC#84 challenge:) I created this super cute card using my Reverse Confetti I Like You and Arrows 'n Elements stamp sets. I looooooove how I masked the "sunshine" sentiment-- super hard but totally worth it! **I used the "sunny days", "shopping", and "chocolate" stamps for this masked sentiment!!! I also used some new journalling cards by Me & My Big IdeasLOVE these colors together! The twine is from The Twinery (Flax).
That's it for me today--but make sure you stop by the RCC blog for more details for this challenge and DT inspiration!!! And click HERE to link up your creation!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}
