The Ribbon Carousel Challenge

Hello, friends:}

I have some super exciting news to share with you---I've been asked by Corinna to join The Ribbon Carousel Challenge team!!!! I can't believe it--I'm so honored that she asked me to join the team and that I get to craft with such amazing team members!!! OH MY! This totally made my day/week/month!!!
If you have not been to The Ribbon Carousel Challenge--head over there NOW!! We are starting a brand new challenge this week!

The Ribbon Carousel Challenge (RCC11) is brought to us by Laurel Seabrook this week. Laurel found this amazing photo to set the creative juices flowing. It could be the light and airy colors or the floral shabby tag. Perhaps the metal tin evokes a feeling. Whatever inspires you, be sure to share your creation with us this week.

*Remember, your creation can be anything from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings, anything will work!*
AND as an added bonus, we are being sponsored this week by Your Next StampYour Next Stamp offers a unique variety of fun and whimsical rubber stamps for every occasion! Their signature lines include Fhiona and Friends, Heather Collections, Dale Designs and the humorous Franfou Collection. Stamps are produced with top quality rubber, which are then mounted onto cling foam, trimmed and are ready to use with any clear block! Be sure to check out the YNS Facebook page too!

I made a very CAS card using some cotton candy and oyster Divine Twine from The Ribbon Carousel. I love this simple design! I used my Unity Love Runs Deep itty bitty stamp and made the flowers 3D with vellum. LOVE LOVE LOVE:) If you are wondering what I was inspired by::: pink/gray color combo, the flowers, and the simplicity of the tin!
It was raining and the colors are not really showing up on this card--I will see about taking a better pic in the morning:)

The RCC team would love for you to join in the fun this week! Here are the details:
  • Make your creation following the ribbon carousel challenge (sketch, inspiration, style or color) image. Be sure to include some type of ribbon, twine, hemp, lace....basically, anything that comes on a spool.
  • Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like SplitcoastStampers, (use the keyword RCC11) with a direct link back to The RCC blog post. Including the challenge graphic isn't a requirement, but sure is appreciated! A participant of our very first challenge didn't link back or mention our challenge and couldn't be named Top Spool, so don't let that happen to you!
  • Come back to The RCC blog post and link in your creation using the Inlinkz button at the bottom of this post. Your image may take a little while to pop up but don't worry it will appear shortly.
  • Be sure to come back the Friday after the challenge ends to see if YOU are a Top Spool! :D

This Challenge will end on July 18, 2011 at 11:59pm EST.

I really hope you will play along--I cannot express how excited I am to be on this team!! I just love ribbon! So this is a perfect match:) Please stop by the RCC blog for more details, more projects from the RCC DT, and to link up your creation! Also, please head over to The Ribbon Carousel website and check out their products...I love this ribbon, and this, and this, and THIS! I cannot wait to get my order!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}
