HAPPY FWF....and weekend trip:}

Hello, friends, and friends with FLAIR!!!

**NOTE:: I apologize for not having much to share with you today--I've been really busy trying to get ready for our weekend trip...I promise to have more next week!!

Happy FRIDAY everyone!! I've got a couple of cards to share and then as promised, I will share the reason why Trav and I are going to be in Texas this weekend!

I've created the following two cards for the CAARDVARKS sticker challenge. Have you checked out the SRM stickers? Way COOOOOL! I never really liked stickers before because I didn't know how to use them...but I thought I would give it a try. **NOTE:: Unfortunately, I do not own any SRM stickers...so I had to go to my old stash of alphabet stickers...I hope that works??? These two cards are to welcome a little one. I used my DWVC Nursery paper pack and Unity stamps! I love Unity! I used my big plaid journal stamp for the sentiment. I also used a butterfly and the chicken from Unity's August '08 KOTM. I love how the stickers on the side are off the edge and coordinate with the papers! I also love my first two cards with stickeres! I seriously might have to try them again!
Just in case you didn't get to see some of my Unity creations this week...go ahead and check out the pics below. Click on the individual pics and you will be taken to the post:} **NOTE:: If you already have seen these--thanks for looking again!!
Be sure to check out all the other ladies and their creations--WOOOOWZER! Eye candy all over this FWF!!! Great stuff:} Click HERE to see the list of sites! And don't forget to leave some LOVE for everyone--you could win 25 free Unity stamps!!!

So...the big question is: WHY ARE YOU GOING TO TEXAS? Well, on Feb. 13, Trav came into my studio . He said, "Do you want to see your Vday gift?" I was blown away--yikes, VDAY! Mind you, I wasn't even thinking of Love Day because we were getting music together for worship. So, I said I did [of course] and he handed me a piece of paper that he had just printed from the printer. It read, "Paul Baloche and Jared Anderson" at the top. I thought--AWESOME! These guys are great songwriters. Reading on..."WORSHIP CONFERENCE". Cool-- learn how to worship better! Then I read further--"TYLER, TEXAS". HOOOOLY COW! Trav got us conference tickets for a worship seminar in TX! I was so excited! I can't wait--we've seen Paul before (by pure luck)...and this will be awesome to be his student! I will try to take as many pics as possible!!!

That's it for today--sorry again for the random post! I will post more later! OH--I almost forgot! You still have a couple more days to leave a comment on EVERY SINGLE POST IN FEBRUARY for your chance to win Comfy Cozy, a Unity stamp set! I can't wait to see who wins!

Thanks so much for visiting with me today--love when we get to chat:} Hope you have a FABulous weekend! Thanks again!
Until next time~

Stampin' Sisters in Christ and CARDS challenge card

Hello, friends:}

I made this last night for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ #27 and CARDS challenges. For SSIC #27, our inspiration verse: Ester 4:14 "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?" **NOTE:: Ester is my FAV FAV FAV book in the Bible! That is where Xerxes' name came from---Ester marries the king of Persia, King Xerxes!!! For the CARDS challenge, we had to create a shaped card. I used brackets to make my card shape. My card uses some scrap paper--love when I can use them up! And my fav stamps, UNITY! These stamps are from the Dec. KOTM. Love this card!!!
I hope that you are doing well! Tomorrow is FWF! I can't wait!! I might not have as many cards to share since I will be getting ready for our trip to TX!! I will tell you why we are going there and the story behind the trip!! So fun:}

Thanks so much for visiting! Have a great day!!
Until next time~

CARDS challenge...

Hello, friends:}

I made another card tonight--it is for the CARDS challenge. This challenge requires us to make a shaped card. I love it!! This card base is made of chipboard and is double-sided. I put white paper for a message on the back! I used some random paper that I had--adorable! I also used my Nina Brackett, Lovely Shelf stamps!! Gotta love these stamps! That sentiment is too cute! **NOTE:: I really didn't like the outline that I drew....until I went over it again...I think it makes the teapot look worn and friendly! I don't know:}
I hope that you are enjoying your Wednesday night! I am off to finish an accordion book [book #3 for my friend] and complete my weekly bible study readings! I'm a bit behind!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Until next time~

oh my--happy happy HAPPY mail!!!

Hello, again, friends:}

As promised--I'm back to share 1: why I didn't have a post yesterday 2: what I got in the mail and 3: my photo shoot with a local magazine.

1. I am so sorry that I didn't have a post yesterday--since this month I am having a giveaway, I wanted to make sure I posted at least once a day for an equal 28 chances to win! I'm so sorry--I was so tired yesterday! I didn't even do anything--I woke up, ate breakfast, babysat my little friend, Ellie, and worked around the house until I tutored 2 kids. I came home and ate dinner [Trav made it for us!! Mmmmm!], and then I fell asleep on the couch. Boring day--but I was tired.

2. When I came home around 6pm, I found a HUGE box outside waiting for me. I couldn't believe that I got more HAPPY MAIL!! This really was happy mail--I received an email from Tammy about a week ago stating that I won a Bazzill Basket Giveaway. I didn't think much more about it until I opened this box....YIKES!! It was FULL of goodies:) Here is the pic from the Paper Creations Giveaway page. I love love love everything in this box--goodies and goodies and things I didn't even know existed! I can't wait to show you more--I guess it was from the Creative Escape conference. Several teachers were there- like Tim Holtz, Heidi Swapp, Heather Bailey, and more more more! They had special projects that they worked on, and each project had a bag of goodies to make-n-take. I got all those bags! I can't wait to show you what I make:} **NOTE:: As I was opening each piece, I would shout out, "OH WOOOOOOOOOOW!" Trav had to ask me to stop saying that after only pulling out like 5 things!
and 3. I was asked to do an interview last month for an article that will be featured in our local magazine called Harbor Style. My business, Jelly Bean Designs, will be featured in their April issue! That is exciting! They are wanting to feature businesses or craft/hobbies that are locally made. I had a "photo shoot" with the mag today. Unfortunately, I will not be in any of the pics...however, they did take LOTS of pics of my cards and the stamps that I use....so I will keep you posted of when it is published! **NOTE::My business website is under construction because we are uploading at least 500 pics of cards that I have in stock with PayPal buttons...that is a lot of work--so I will let you know when it is finished!!

I hope you are doing well--it is almost Friday!! I will be posting more challenge cards later...Thanks so much for stopping by! Until next time~

three challenges...one cute card:}

Hello, friends....
Kim's card  FWF card
I have a cute card to share today--well, I think it is cute!!! I used the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger card by Kim Hughes, as well as the FWF13 inspiration card and the CARDS challenge for a shaped card as my inspiration. I love love love how the flower is the card (so I can write on each petal)...and the yellow is just YUMMY!!! I also love the transparency with polka dots. That stamp is from Unity's Dec. KOTM. LOVE IT! I also used Ippity's new Music of My Heart stamp for the sentiment. I just love love love  this card--so cute!
I hope that you are doing well--I have another post coming--explaining why I didn't have a post yesterday, what I got in the mail, and about my photo shoot today for a local magazine! So stay tuned:)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Love when we visit--esp. when I can share a cute card:}
Until next time~

packages....

Hello, friends....

That's right--my IPPITY packages came today! Of course they came while I was out getting my nails done! YIKES! So I can't even open the package or play until my nails are dry, and I know that I won't break or chip the color! The color I used was from a bottle I own...but still- I don't want to chip them yet!! Maybe tomorrow! **NOTE:: Trav was a sweetie and emptied my boxes of goodies!!!
Look even Olsen was excited about my boxes!
Well--I missed the H{IPPITY} Hop today due to nothing in the mail this weekend...but I will be back to share more later!!! I hope you had a wonderful Monday:} Thanks for stopping by! Love our visits!
Until next time~

oh my--this is CUTE!!

Hello, friends:}

I have one more challenge card for you! This is for the Moxie Fab [use floss] and Die Cuts R Us challenges. For the DCRU challenge, we were to create a card with NO DPs!! AHHHHHHH! This card/sketch actually came quickly to me--I love this card. It is the sweetest with the floss as the tree branches! I used variegated brown embroidery thread and glued them down with regular craft glue for the branches. I love how it looks like wood--with the different colors? Do you see that? Or is it just me? The stamps are from Nina Brackett's Squigglefly collection. The chicken and branches are from Sew Cute, and the sentiment is from Tweet Friend. LOVE LOVE LOVE them!
I hope that you are enjoying your Sunday--I will be back later with more:} Thanks so much for stopping by! Love when we visit!
Until next time~

two more challenge cards...

Hello friends:}

I will try to make this short since I have lots to do--Trav and I are leaving this weekend for a trip! More on that later!!!

My first card is for the Paper Pals Arts challenge. It was supposed to be K.I.S.S. [keep it simple sweetie]. I love this stamp from Unity, so I couldn't resist! I love the colors together and everything about this card! It did take 5 minutes to make--but only because I had to cut out those little chickens! **NOTE:: I know...I'm trying to work on my lighting and the photo box and just taking pics...I messed up and made a photo box...when I shouldn't have touched anything! I'll try and get a better photo later! And--I never put any DPs behind my cards because I don't know what color or design to pick...but I think I did ok on this one?

My second card is soooooooooo pretty! I love the tape from Michael's. I used it again! I also love the doily--pretty pretty pretty! I made this card for the Critter Sketch challenge. It is their very first challenge! We were to use the sketch and put red somewhere on the project. I had the great idea of using the tape and the doily but they are a bit big--so I moved the two strips closer (a bit off the sketch)....but I still like the card! I actually LOVE it:} The bird cage stamp is from Unity
I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday! I am hoping to get some Ippity stamps tomorrow--but I don't know if I will be able to participate in the hop...I need new stamps to get my mojo going! I will also be posting more this week...and I promise I will tell you how Trav told me we were leaving for a small trip! Love him!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to give your sweetie{s} a HUG today--I love LOVE! I also LOVE YOU! And Unity! And so much more!! Thanks again! Until next time~

SPCC#35, ABC Design, and Stampin' Royalty challenge

Hello, friends:}

Happy Sunday!! I managed to create one more card last night. It is for a student of mine. He is the sweetest thing! His bday is on Wednesday this week--so I wanted something bold and masculine [good for the Stampin' Royalty and ABC Design challenges!!!]. When I saw the color challenge over at SPCC, I knew this would work for my student! I never would have put these colors together--but how cute are they?? I love the stitching! The stamps are from Unity- Oct. 09 KOTM and Our Stories sets. I distressed the edges of each piece too.  Love it. Hope he likes it! **NOTE:: I tried to match the colors...but somehow my orange looked different on my table! EH:}
Be sure to scroll down to see my Squigglefly card--so pretty! I'm so excited to be part of her GDF team!

I hope you are doing well! Thanks so much for stopping by! Love when we visit! Have a great day!
Until next time~

Limelight and Kim Hughes challenge card

Hello--AGAIN:}

I had some more time to craft today...and I made this card for the Limelight #41 challenge. I also used Kim Hughes' challenge- to visit the Paper Crafts Connection [one of my FAV blogs] for inspiration, plus send this card to someone [which I will do in Nov. of this year for Candice's wedding!!!]. I found a beautfiul pic of a young bride and groom in black and white with long green stems for her flowers (calla lilies I believe). I love this card! I used my NEW Squigglefly images by Nina Brackett. So sweet! I paper pieced the cake and bow. I also used pearls for the bottom and the cake. I love love love it:}
**NOTE:: I'm STILL learning how to use the photobox...I'll post another pic if I learn how this weekend:}

I am hoping to get some more cards done this weekend...I do have to cook dinner and clean the house- I have a friend coming over tomorrow! I will make sure I take pics of her creations!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Love when we visit! Until next time~

Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Challenge #46

Hello, again, friends:}

I had just enough time today to create a challenge card! This is for the Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Challenge and the ABC Design challenge. I love this inspiration photo--beautiful cupcakes! Yummy! I used Unity stamps: Bevy of Butterflies and Our Stories sets. I love love love this card. I'm going to send it to my sister-in-law for her bday in March! **NOTE:: She sometimes reads this--so hopefully she won't until her bday!
Don't forget to scroll down and check out who won the 25 free Unity stamps!! Also....be sure to check out Nina Brackett's blog today. She featured ME!!! HOOOOOOORAY!

FWF....and some FUN:}

Hello, friends!!

I'm so excited about today--it's Friday, which means FWF at UNITY! LOVE LOVE LOVE UNITY! I seriously can't get enough [I'm sure Trav thinks I've got enough...but one can never have enough stamps from UNITY!]. I love all the cards on today's post...so let's get to it....

My first card was created for the Card Patterns #51 and FWF12 challenge. I love it! I used My Mind's Eye papers and UNITY stamps, Dec. 09 KOTM. I love how the papers in the back and the sentiment on red vellum. **NOTE:: Char-- that first background paper...decorative tape from Michael's!

My second card is tooooooo cute! I made it for the JUGS20 challenge. I love it--it was made with fabric as the base. I stitched with two different threads, and used 100% Happy UNITY pear stamp. I also used the Cricut to cut some of the words. I love the colored vellum...the pop of the split negative (which was the JUGS challenge) and the stitching! TOOO CUTE:}
My next card was created for a special man, the FWF12 , the ABC Designs, and the Stampin' Royalty #7 challenge. It will be his bday soon--but I can't tell you who it is because he might read this! I used several stamps from UNITY's Our Story set. I will fill in the date later [that would give the surpise away]. I love the DPs--MME. Hope he likes it!
My last card was going to be a card with a pic of Trav and I...but I thought that you might not want to see another one of us...so I opted for Olsen (as a pup)! He hardly ever gets cards because he likes to eat them. But hopefully he will cherish this card...I used the Cricut to cut out the sentiment. The stamp is from UNITY's Feb. KOTM. This pic is of when we first got him- 8 weeks old. He is such a big boy now--he stays in the house without going in the cage! And he protects us--he started barking one night last week. Good boy:} I do wish he was small again-- love this pic of him!
Well...who likes some fun??? Since you made it this far-- check this out!!!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD NEWS!!!

Hello, friends:}

I never thought I would be saying this...but I have GOOOOOOD NEWS! I can't believe it! About a week ago, I was reading some of my RSS Feeds [I do RSS feed to almost all blogs I come upon--so I was going through lots of emails]...I found one from Nina Brackett. She posted a GDT call. I was unsure about applying--but what does it hurt? Right? So I sent in three [ok, maybe like five or more] pics of my favorite cards. I didn't think about it again--I thought I didn't make it. UNTIL....I found the email stating that she would like me to be part of her team!!! I will be part of her Squigglefly team!!! HOOOOOOORAY:} I am super excited! We are called her Design Friends. Super CUTE! I am so so so so so so sooooooooooooooooo excited! This is my very first team!!!

So here is my very first card using her digital stamps. I used "A Lovely Friend" sentiment for this card. I have worked with digi stamps before...but on my PC. This was the first time that I used my MAC...and I loved the look!!! I think I'm getting the hang of it:} I also used transparencies (for the CARDS challenge). I love this card. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I really really like these images that I will be working with! So many ideas and cards I can make!!! I ended up giving this card to a LOVELY FRIEND [truly lovely inside and out], Sheri. She loved this card too! So happy when I know that a small card can make a difference in someone's day!!
Whew--I am so happy for this news! You can read more about it HERE!! I just got an email from Nina saying she will feature me on Saturday--or sometime soon!! I can't say how excited I am...THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Thank you, Nina, for your support and confidence in me!!

Well....I'll be back tomorrow with some UNITY--ACK! I love UNITY

Thanks so much for stopping by and celebrating with me:} Thank you for all your support! THANK YOU!! Until next time~

more crafty friends and a challenge card

Hello, friends:}

I have a really quick card to share today for Lucy's Challenge #5.  I've been thinking about this card for sometime...I'm not sure it turned out exactly like I wanted it to, but I still think it is adorable. Def. CAS! Litterally took me 5 minutes to make! Love it:} I used Unity's Jan. KOTM polka dot stamp over some Cricut letters.
I've been so busy this week that I really haven't had time to create...but I do have friends that are creative! These were made by Olivia and her mom, Sheri. They are the sweetest! Olivia was at my house the other day, and we used my Lizzie Ann Feb. KOTM stamps to make this card--it was designed and made completely by Olivia! LOVE it;}
Olivia also made this very symmetrical card all by herself. She is very crafty!
Sheri made several vday cards for her family! Amazing--I love how they can take of lots of different papers and scraps to make beautiful original artwork! Craftiness must run in the family!!
**NOTE:: There is a 3D flower in the lower left corner. And the front flap opens up! How clever!

Thanks so much for visiting!! Love when you stop by! Oh--I have some really exciting news to share! I cannot wait--my first EVER! So be on the lookout for a news alert:} I will be back tomorrow....and Friday for FWF!
Until next time~
Love, Sav
